Hi, I’m Chris Hyland. I’m an attorney with Hyland, Padilla & Fowler, PLLC. One of the common questions that we get is: “Do I need an attorney, or what can my attorney do for me?” Attorneys know the law, and so the one thing that you have when you hire an attorney is someone who knows the law. The insurance company and the insurance adjusters also know the law, and they’re not necessarily going to share with you everything that you should know. Once you have an attorney that knows the law, it’s our job to be sure that we collect all the information to make sure that the insurance company considers everything that is important to you to make a fair settlement offer.

If the insurance company is contacting you, and you don’t know what to do, the things that we do for every one of our clients is collect medical records, collect the accident report, interview witnesses, put together the best possible demand package that we can to negotiate with the insurance company. Once your case is settled, if that’s possible, you’ll know that everything that could be done for you was done. If you have any questions, please give us a call.

If you need assistance with your worker’s compensation claim, or the insurance company is denying a claim you feel should be covered, give Hyland, Padilla & Fowler, PLLC a call today to discuss your situation with one of our Raleigh + Durham worker’s compensation attorneys.
